Payment & Insurance

Fees vary per therapist. Check out our therapist profiles to check their fees and determine who is the best fit for you!

Payment is due after each session and can be paid for by credit-card, e-transfer, or in-personal terminal payments.

Many extended health insurance plans cover psychotherapy services, while others do not. As such, we do not offer direct billing to insurance companies. We ask for clients to personally pay for their sessions, where they will receive a detailed receipt to provide to their insurance companies for reimbursement

Please speak to your insurance provider to ensure coverage for Registered Psychotherapists!

Don’t have insurance? Be sure to keep your receipts to deduct psychotherapy services on your annual income tax return!

    By being here, and coming to this page, that tells us that there is some part of you that is ready. But if it’s only one small part, that’s okay. Sometimes, that’s all you need to start.

    Beginning therapy can be intimidating and scary. Finding a therapist can be intimidating and exhausting.

    Take your time and take a breath. We would be happy to meet with you for a free consultation and explore this question together.

  • The therapeutic relationship is the most essential component in the therapeutic process. Before beginning therapy, it’s important to know your therapist is the right fit.

    Each therapist’s style might not be for you or what you’re looking for, and that’s okay. That’s why we offer free, no obligation to continue consultations where we can get to know each other and determine if we’ere the right therapist for you!

  • Not at all!

    If you know who you want to work with, feel free to book your first session (as long as they are accepting new clients). If not, feel free to email us at info@feelingsfirstwellness.ca and we will support you in finding a therapist match similar to who you were looking for!

  • Everyone’s therapeutic journey is different, so there is no concrete answer.

    Some individuals come to therapy to work on specific goals and feel ready to phase out as they accomplish their goals. Other individuals appreciate having someone they can connect with for ongoing support through various life concerns.

    Ultimately, our goal as therapists is to work ourselves out of our jobs. We want to support you in creating tools and strategies that meet your needs to confidently and happily tackle life and its challenges on your own.

  • The only referral you need is from yourself, a.k.a. no referral necessary! Some general physicians may suggest for individuals to seek psychotherapy services, but anyone is welcome to seek support!

  • Confidentiality is a critical part of the therapeutic relationship and building trust with your therapist. We always strive to respect you and your privacy!

    Their are limits to confidentiality that are listed in your consent form, that will also be discussed in your first session.

    You are always welcome to ask about confidentiality at any point!
