Esha Jain (she/her)

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Meet Esha

Hello, I’m Esha, and I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying).

For over 15 years, I have dedicated my life to understanding and caring for the body and mind, blending medical knowledge with a deep passion for mental health. My journey began with a focus on mood disorders, addictions, and overall mental wellness, where I gained valuable insights into human behavior. After a decade of helping others with my medical expertise, I embarked on another journey – one of self-discovery. This journey ultimately led me to pursue a Master’s in Counselling.

My unique path, from medical expertise to therapeutic practice, has given me a deep appreciation for the mind-body connection and the transformative power of self-awareness. I am here to help you connect with your inner strength, deepen your self-awareness, and create a life that feels authentic and fulfilling. Together, we’ll navigate your unique challenges in a calm, supportive, and welcoming space, guiding you toward a more empowered and meaningful life.

My Approach

Working with me means entering a space where you are met with empathy, authenticity, and a strong commitment to your well-being. My goal is to help you feel understood, empowered, and more aligned with your values by the end of each session.

I strive for our sessions to feel warm, inclusive, and non-judgmental. In this environment, I aim to foster insight and personal growth.  We will explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors with curiosity and compassion. You can expect a collaborative and dynamic process where I use various therapeutic techniques to address your unique needs. My goal is for you to leave each session with a deeper understanding of yourself, and provide you with practical strategies to apply in your daily life.

During our sessions, I often incorporate mindfulness practices, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and narrative exploration to help you connect with your inner strengths and values. The atmosphere is supportive and calm; providing a safe space to explore thoughts and feelings freely.

My approach to therapy is integrative and client-centered, drawing from various evidence-based practices to meet the unique needs of each client. I believe in the power of a strong therapeutic relationship, where trust and collaboration are key. My focus is on creating a space where clients can explore their inner world, build resilience, and cultivate a sense of peace and clarity. Whether through mindfulness, cognitive restructuring, or narrative exploration, my aim is to help clients connect with their strengths and move towards their goals with confidence.

Mindfulness in art therapy involves integrating mindful awareness practices with the creative process. It encourages clients to stay present and non-judgmentally observe their thoughts, emotions, and sensations as they engage in art-making. This approach can deepen self-awareness, enhance emotional regulation, and foster a sense of calm and grounding during therapy sessions.

Mindfulness

Narrative Therapy

Narrative therapy is a form of therapy that aims to separate the individual from the problem, allowing the individual to externalize their issues rather than internalize them. In narrative therapy, we explore and reframe the stories we tell ourselves to foster a more empowering self-narrative.

Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)

CBT focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. It helps individuals identify and challenge negative or irrational thoughts, replacing them with more balanced and realistic ones. CBT equips people with practical skills to manage their emotions, overcome obstacles, and make positive changes in their lives.

Solution Focused

Solution-focused therapy is a strengths-based and practical form of therapy that focuses on creating solutions to problems and envision steps towards your preferred future. In solution-focused therapy, we focus on solution-building rather than problem-solving.

“Emotions are not problems to be solved. They are signals to be interpreted.”
